Revolutionizing Memory Care Through Sleep

The Circadian Biomarker Therapeutics Consortium (CBTC) is a leading collaborative network dedicated to pioneering research at the intersection of sleep science and molecular biology. By integrating expertise from diverse institutions, we seek to identify precise biological markers that influence human circadian rhythmicity and related neurological health. Our primary mission is to translate these critical biological insights into diagnostic tools and targetable therapeutic strategies for pre-symptomatic detection and risk management of neurodegenerative disease. Through our rigorous research, CBTC seeks to establish new standards of prevention and personalized care for sleep disorders and neurodegenerative disease.

Founded in early 2025 by renowned neuroscientist Dr. Julien Dzeidzic, the Circadian Biomarker Therapeutics Consortium (CBTC) was established as a multi-institutional, cross-Canada initiative designed to bridge the gap between circadian rhythm research and early disease intervention. Recognizing that isolated sleep studies lacked the scale needed to isolate subtle biochemical markers, Dr. Dzeidzic united leading researchers, clinicians, and molecular biologists from partner universities and research hospitals spanning from Vancouver to Halifax. What began as a joint effort to standardize high-density EEG data relating to neurodegenerative disease has quickly grown into a nationwide network at the forefront of neurological biomarker discovery. Today, CBTC continues to embody this pan-Canadian collaborative spirit, leveraging shared academic expertise to pioneer a new frontier in preventive medicine.
